OES FIRST WIND PROJECT “50 MW ZEPHYR WIND FARM”
OES steps into the Wind Power Business with its first project of 50 MW Zephyr Wind Farm in Gharo, district Thatta. OES acts as one window solution provider with activities including:
- Conducting site studies (Topographic, Geotechnical etc)
- Civil Works (access roads, temporary & permanent residence, substation, WTG foundation etc)
- Electrical Works (complete SCADA system, 22kV & 132 kV systems)
- Turbine Erection (Tower, nacelle, hub & blades)
- Others including site security, Fire Fighting, CCTV system etc

The complete 50 MW Wind farm comprises of 25 Nos 2.0 MW machines model G114, which is one of the most efficient turbines in terms of energy production.
Zephyr Wind Farm marks the first ever project in Pakistan to install the WTGs at a height of 93m, special cranes GTK1100 telescopic crane and Crawler crane were imported from China to perform this job.
The project site comprises of 70% area with a marshy land which was one big challenge for OES to face with in terms of all Civil works, however, we did pile foundation with constructing a total of 567 piles for all 25 x WTG foundations. Zephyr Wind Farm is one flagship project for OES taking her to next level of leading the majority win project in Pakistan.
