Company history at a glance
The Beginning...
Orient started its journey in 1996 with five highly motivated people. The main objective was to set up a firm which could meet the growing needs of industries in terms of power generation, in the finest and most reliable way. Orient Energy Systems started as the Asset Manager of one of the largest rental fleet in the country, Orix Leasing Pakistan Limited (OLP). By the grace of Almighty and efforts of the founders, this 5 people company turned into a group company in less than a decade’s time. Today, we have four independently running entities.
Jenbacher’s Distribution
In 1999 the competition was getting intense. Ever rising cost of electricity followed by frequent power outages was making it tougher for Pakistan’s industrial sector to compete. The sector required a reliable alternate solution. Orient Energy Systems proudly offered power system solutions from Jenbacher which is still the world’s best and the largest gas generator manufacturer with the lowest gas consumption and operating cost. OES has sold 875+ INNIO Jenbacher gas gensets generating more than 1245MW of power in the Pakistan territory.
Cummins Distribution
In 2009, Orient Energy Systems Pvt Ltd became the official Distributor for Cummins Diesel Engines & Genset in Pakistan. Offering diesel engine powered generator sets from 22 kVA to 3325 kVA. Just with in no time OES had outdone itself and received "Brand of the Year" for Cummins Diesel Engines. The judgment was given by means of nationwide market research, consumer surveys & focused group study in order to evaluate brand awareness, consumer preference, current year market standing, brand quality, affordability along with availability. The results were reviewed by both national & international specialists who awarded OES "Brand of the Year" for Cummins Diesel Generator Category.
OES Building & 1000th Engine
OES Building:
OES management, aims to create inspirational, collaborative, and healthy
workspaces in the five-story building, spread over 5100 sq. yds. The office
incorporates state-of-the-art building addresses the needs of tech companies,
helping to attract an innovative workforce to us, ultimately making this a
noteworthy building in one of the biggest industrial zone of Pakistan.
1000th Engine:
In 2013, we sold 1000th Jenbacher gas genset which marked 1400 MW of sold power
by Orient. It was the largest concentration of Jenbacher gas engines in any
country around the World.
From then till now...
Orient is providing the most indigenous solutions to industrial needs in terms of Power Generation, Heat Recovery, HVACR, Pumps, T&D, Earth Moving Machines, Compressors etc., Not only industrial needs but we have also served the IPPs for Power generation. Our K-Electric 193 MW (back in 2009), Zephyr 50 MW Wind Farm commissioned in Q1 2019, and many others which are available on our website have been the “Real Deal” for OES, the Flagship projects to have added to the “OES success stories”.

Zafar Iqbal
Director Sales
Mr. Zafar holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from NED University and Master’s in Business Administration from IOBM. Mr. Zafar joined Orient Energy Systems in May 2005 as Senior Sales Manager and currently serving as Director Sales for Industrial segment.
In his capacity as Director Sales, Mr. Zafar is leading multiple business units such as Gas and Diesel Generator, HVAC and Compressor. He has 24 years of diversified experience in the field of industrial & power generation sales, manages the sales operations and makes high-quality decisions on behalf of Orient Energy Systems (Pvt.) Ltd. His varied professional background, passion and hustle have made him a robust member of OES team.
Mr. Zafar has a deep commitment to community and civic engagement; he is committed to provide significant value to his customers more than anyone else in his field.

Mehdi Vazir
Director Special Projects
Mr. Mehdi Vazir holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from NEDUET and an MBA in Finance from SZABIST. He has been working with OES since 2006.
Mr. Vazir has been in the field of Power Generation and Industrial Equipment Sales and Project Management since 1994. At OES, he carries the responsibility of managing multiple sections such as Renewable Energy, Transmission, Grid, Distribution, Fire Engineering and Pumping Solutions.
He has brought many successful ventures and few biggest projects of OES history. He is one of the members of OES Strategic Management Team; a team responsible to devise company’s policies and business strategies.

Naseem Alam
Director Engineering I
Having worked for over 27 years in the field of Engineering, Mr. Naseem is currently leading the Engineering Department in Orient Energy Systems (Pvt.) Ltd. He is a striving professional, possessing experience and expertise in Engineering Designs, Project Implementation, Civil and Construction Management, Contract Management and Engineering Consultancy Services.
Mr. Naseem is an inspirational leader, who has led his team successfully and expanded the horizon of OES in the field of Engineering, he has always provided out of box engineering solutions for the growth and prosperity of business. He has earned his Mechanical Engineering degree from NED University.

Muhammad Waseem
Director Product Support
Mr. Waseem’s passion for the technical side of Power Generation has led him to specialize in Product Support and Technical Services. His client-oriented mindset helps Orient Energy System (Pvt.) Ltd. provide efficient after sale services. From pre-delivery inspection to commissioning, warranty handling to routine and scheduled maintenance and aftermarket sales of spares and services all comes under his domain.
Mr. Waseem is the most understanding front-end professional of OES, he serves as a bridge between various business sections of OES, technical/service teams and clientele, helping to implement best service practices while fostering a compelling experience that keeps prospects engaged.
He has completed his bachelors degree from NED university in Electrical Engineering.

Zaki Ul Haq
Director Engineering II
Being a marine engineer Mr. Zaki-ul-haq holds a vast experience in planning and management of power generation both on and off shore, he has acquired a diverse experience of all facets of engineering and project management.
His ability to deliver in timely and professional manner for the successful completion of projects makes him a unique and valuable member of OES management. He works closely with his team to understand their strategic and operational requirements to offer appropriate solutions.
His role as Director Engineering is widespread and includes exploring, development, delivering international EPC projects to the overseas customers.

Teizoon Kisat
Group Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Teizoon Kisat is a Fellow Member of Institute Chartered Accountants of Pakistan since 1986. He is also Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Institute of Taxation & Management. Mr. Kisat possesses strong business and leadership record and has a deep understanding of business and financial sector of the Country. Mr. Kisat was associated with auditing firms of Pakistan and Overseas for 12 years. Later, he joined the leasing industry of Pakistan in 1995 and held many senior management positions in multiple business areas including finance, operations, taxation, company secretarial services, marketing, business development, treasury, human resource, credit and risk management, budgeting, monitoring and financial reporting. During his association of 15 years with the largest leasing company of Pakistan, he spearheaded many initiatives including mergers / acquisitions that demonstrated his leadership, problem solving skills and ability to manage and build a strong team. Mr. Kisat also played a key role in bringing an overseas investment in a Microfinance bank in Pakistan and was appointed CEO of the Microfinance bank. He is a certified Director and has also held positions of non-executive Director in local and overseas companies and independent Director in a bank and listed company.
Mr. Kisat joined Orient Energy on June 1, 2020 and is responsible for overseeing operations of all Group Companies.
