We recently conducted a comprehensive Operation & Maintenance (O&M) training program for the GE Vernova International LLC O&M team at the IPP 225MW Balloki Site. The session was attended by 30 participants from GE Vernova’s operations team.

The four-day training, organized in two sessions, focused on Cummins Power Generation – Medium Voltage 6.6KV Systems, featuring two diesel gensets: C2500D5 (Engine: QSK60) and 2660DLQB (Engine: QSK78). These units serve as Black Start generators, capable of synchronizing with the main bus for turbine auxiliary loads.

The sessions covered operating principles, key components, and routine maintenance practices, combining theoretical knowledge with hands-on demonstrations. Participants gained.

Recently, our team successfully completed hands-on training on the newly commissioned Jenbacher engine at Sapphire Finishing Limited, ensuring proficiency in operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Simultaneously, we participated in the 2025 Trainers Conference at Innio Jenbacher Factory, Austria, earning certification to conduct specialized Jenbacher Gas Engine training.

In a collaborative effort between OES and United Energy Pakistan (UEP), a recent technical training session proved instrumental. We are thrilled to share the exciting details of our recent training program held at our Lahore office. This program was designed to provide PAKARAB Fertilizers Ltd. with valuable insights into the world of Cummins technology. Additionally, we organised an illuminating visit to the state-of-the-art "Cummins diesel lab & workshop facility," where we proudly showcased our expertise in Pump and Injector repair, testing and calibration, complete with a demonstration of our high-tech calibration equipment.

1. A comprehensive introduction to the Cummins PT Pump & Injectors, including their operational principles.

2. In-depth exploration of the Filtration System, with a particular emphasis on Fleet Guard Filtration.

Our valued customer boasts a significant Cummins Inc.-powered equipment portfolio, including 12 Cummins Generators and a diverse range of Cummins engine models integrated into various machinery. At OES, we are dedicated to elevating our skills and knowledge to better serve our esteemed clients.

OES recently concluded a successful two-day training session on INNIO Group Jenbacher J420 gas generator at Fatima Fertilizer Company Limited site. The training took place in the month of June 2023, with an impressive attendance of around 30 participants. During the session, we covered a range of essential topics crucial to understanding and operating the Jenbacher gas engine.

Here are some key areas we focused on:

· Engine start/stop procedure, including the boundary conditions specific to the Jenbacher gas engine.

· Introduction to P&ID (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams) to enhance participants' comprehension of the system.

· In-depth exploration of critical alarms and effective handling techniques to ensure optimal performance and safety.

· Lube oil management, emphasizing the importance of proper lubrication for smooth engine operation.

· Water chemistry and its significance in maintaining the generator's efficiency.

Kohinoor Textile Mills Limited, Kohinoor Maple Leaf Group, a prominent customer of OES in the gas generation sector, recently concluded a highly successful three-day training session at their Rawalpindi plant. The comprehensive training covered a wide range of topics, including the operational philosophy of Innio Jenbacher gas engines, best practices for maintenance, vibration analysis, alternator operation, and effective lube oil management. The training was attended by approximately 20 participants, equipping them with enhanced knowledge and skills.

Atlas Honda Limited a joint collaboration between Honda Motor Company Limited Japan, the largest and most reputed motorcycle brand in the world, and Atlas Group, one of Pakistan’s most renowned business conglomerates located in Lahore recently approached OES for technical training of their staff.

OES customer training program offers comprehensive training courses that are tailored to the needs of our attendees. Our expert instructor guided the trainees of Atlas Honda Limited on the subjects of fundamentals lube oil, testing categories of lube oil and lube oil management.

The cohort of 15 participants from Operation & Maintenance fields were given constructive feedback, positive reinforcement and was also offered ongoing support post training session from OES trainer.

The population of Genset at customer site are around 11 Cummins engines (mostly KTA 50), and 04 INNIO Jenbacher gas engines (JGS-320).

A motivational seminar for employees can help them learn how to find and foster healthy, meaningful connections and improve their motivation. Participants learn to overcome their lack of motivation, stress-symptoms and also improve their self plus time management.

Guest Speaker, Mr. Sir Shakeel A Khan, while delivering the key note, highlighted the hurdles of worldwide current economic crunch and how to stay motivated extrinsically and intrinsically. OES Team leads also explained that most individuals go through a wide variety of challenges before finding true motivation, OES can provide the guidance and support they need as they learn how to meet and foster healthy goals.

OES has managed to secure two UL/FM Diesel Engine & Electric Motor driven Fire Fighting Pumping system contracts of Masood Textile Mills Faisalabad and English Biscuit Manufacturers Karachi for 1000 usgpm @ 10 bar and 750 usgpm @ 14 bar along with the establishment of LCs.

Each version of SFFECO product is designed to attract a different market segment with the intention of maximizing sales and building the customer base. SFFECO continuous cooperation and confidence in OES Fire & Security team has empowered OES to expand its horizon and offer our clientele best products with OES reliable services.

A Waukesha qualification training was organized in Karachi head office in the month of September for OES customers and our own staff. The two weeks GET (Gas Engine Technology) training is a qualification program and a prerequisite of higher qualification expertise on Waukesha engines. This course provides detail understanding of the gas engine, its design and components. OES managed to arrange training for 30 participants in two different groups.

An INNIO Waukesha authorized trainer Mr. Alasdair Tait was invited from Thailand who conducted the GET (Gas Engine Technology) training for our customers Mari Petroleum Company Ltd. and Fatima Fertilizer Company Ltd.

OES brilliant Field Techs who carry out start-ups and commissioning tasks on Jenbacher gas engines received Commissioning Training (Level 1 & 2) as a prerequisite to become a certified Commissioning Engineer.

The training mainly focuses on theoretical and practical contents including basic setting, parameterising control and monitoring instruments, power supply, module control, auxiliaries etc on Jenbacher Gas engines Types 3, 4 , 6 and up to 624 Series.

Participation in this training enabled our field techs to get a review of the Basic Development Program - the ability to set up the necessary project specific software before start-up and commissioning . The capability to carry out, monitor and record the mandatory VDE measurements and to learn to localize and remedy faults or errors.

In collaboration with AMANTECH; OES, conducted an On-the-Job Training program for the development of skilled workers in Pakistan.

OES On-the-Job training was based on the principle of “learning by doing”, i.e. the workers learn the job while performing it within the actual work environment of OES.

OES core value includes the responsibility to build an improved and equipped future. The OJT program was specifically designed, keeping in mind the human capital skill set and trainees were placed in different sections of OES to gain maximum exposure.

OES and INNIO Jenbacher service engineers are technically trained to perform on INNIO Jenbacher Gas Engine. Recently OES and INNIO collaborated to train workforce responsible for handling and operating Jenbacher Gas Engines.

MR 3, 4 and 6 is an advanced hands-on plus classroom training which equips participants to be certified service engineers for INNIO Jenbacher Gas Engine. The course in advance engine performance is designed to prepare technicians for entry into the specialized field of diagnosing, testing and overhauling.

OES trainees managed to complete the training successfully also they were able to learn and practically perform latest and advance technological techniques for repairing and overhauling of INNIO Jenbacher Gas Engines with special tools and high-tech procedures.

One of the best ways to enhance knowledge and skills is through training, technical training helps equip OES workforce with the skills they need to do their jobs effectively.

An operation and maintenance (O&M) training of C2750 D5B Diesel Generator Sets was conducted at Cummins UAE facility in the month of June, 2022. Training content emphasised in detail the operation and maintenance of different genset systems such as air system, cooling system, fuel system, control system, lubrication system, alternator and controller.

Cummins Technical Trainings are always a source of motivation for OES and the skillset netted through these trainings has helped OES and its clients to understand the equipment’s full capacity and has enabled us to use it to its true potential.
