Burj Capital, 7 MW Power Cement Limited Solar project has been nominated for the award of the solar project, in the category of best C&I (commercial and industrial) projects based outside of the Middle East by Mesia Ventures.
Burj’s team highlighted the uniqueness and challenges of the largest on-site solar PPA, the first hybrid plant in Pakistan, and recognized the efforts of all the partners and their team members to turn this dream into a reality.
Supply and construction of 5MW and 2MW ground-mounted solar system projects were awarded to OES by Burj Capital in the year 2022 for Power Cement. The location, structure, resources, activities, and other project variables made this project different from other solar projects. This is the largest PPA installation in Pakistan, It is the first hybrid wind-solar PPA plant in Pakistan. One-year wind data collection is in process.
Defying all odds OES managed to install solar plants at Power Cement located at Nooriabad within 6 months.
Solar Energy commits to balancing Power Cement electricity consumption from the grid by off-taking an environment-friendly energy source. This project shall produce 200GWh and offset up to 112,000 tons of CO2.
