Veolia, a renowned Global Water Treatment group provided a turnkey solution to Dubai Municipality Sewage Treatment Plant for their waste to Energy project with the installation of 4 X Innio Jenbacher JGC 420 Sewage gas engines with total installed capacity of 6 MW.
OES has provided complete solution including supply of gensets, installation supervision, testing and commissioning. The power from gensets will be used for Sewage plant load demand and surplus power can be exported to local grid.
During the Sewage Treatment Process, this particular plant produce sewage gas of 2600 Nm3/hr. as a byproduct of the process, which is flared in the atmosphere. The typical composition of Sewage gas is 50% Methane, 40% CO2 and other volatile gases. Innio Jenbacher biogas engines are specially designed to burn this gas efficiently and with the recovery of engine heat from hot water & exhaust overall plant efficiency reaches more than 85%.
